Please Support Our 2018-2019 Tiger Fund
It's time to kick-off the 2018-2109 Tiger Fund Annual Campaign. Tiger Fund is unique to Davidson Elementary. It is a direct giving fundraiser and the principal source of funding for the PTO. We need your help to meet our fundraising goal of $60,000 and 100% participation in our direct-giving campaign. Tiger Fund donations allow our school to continue to provide the “extras” -- things that enhance the educational experience for all of our children, but are not covered by state funding. Some of these “extras” include:
- Technology Acquisition and Maintenance (Chromebooks, AV equipment, etc.)
- Educational materials and classroom supplies
- Electronic curriculum support (like Front Row/Freckle, DreamBox, etc.)
- Teacher stipends
- Teacher training and professional development
- Media Center supplies and new books
- Science Lab
- Student, Family and Community Building Events (Bingo, ArtFest, Charity Challenge Basketball, Nights Out, etc.)

What is the “Tiger Fund”?
The Tiger Fund is the principal PTO fundraiser for 2018-2019 school year. It is a direct giving campaign in which we request a donation rather than a fundraising product purchase.
Why a direct giving campaign?
Direct giving campaigns are easier for parents, teachers and students. Direct giving through the Tiger Fund also allows us to keep 100% of your donations. This year we tried selling discount cards as an additional fundraising tool, but participation was completely optional.
What do the DES PTO Tiger Fund dollars support?
The DES PTO Tiger Fund supports investments in our school and community: ArtFest, Boys Night Out, Girls Night Out, Field Days, Room Parent Support, Classroom Support, Cultural Arts Events, Media Center Support, Science Lab Support, Classroom Technology, Teacher Training, Yearbooks and so much more.
Is your donation tax deductible?
Yes!! Our PTO is a designated 501(c)(3) charitable organization, all donations are tax deductible.
How much per student is the PTO requesting?
A donation of $100 per student is our goal. While the money we raise is important, participation is and always will be what makes our school successful and strong! Our Tiger Fund goal this year is calculated by participation from 100% of DES families. If each family donates whatever they can…the collective effect will be what guarantees us success in this campaign. Every donation really does count!!!
What are the payment options?
Payment options include: personal checks, credit cards and cash. If you donate via PayPal (using your credit card, bank account, or other funding source), you can set-up a monthly donation and spread your donation over the 10-month school year. $20 a month will equal a $200 donation!
How can families donate?
You can donate online or by completing the pledge form and mailing your check or cash to DES PTO Tiger Fund, 635 South Street, Davidson, NC 28036.
Who can donate to the Tiger Fund?
Everyone can donate to our Tiger Fund! Just as your child did with our previous fundraisers, they can ask friends, relatives and neighbors. Their donations are tax deductible and can be doubled with a corporate match as well! See Corporate Matching.
